Teachers and Staff
At the Academy, our faculty members hold Bachelor’s Degrees in Education, and forty percent of our faculty and staff hold Master’s Degrees. In addition, our faculty and staff are considered to be highly qualified according to the guidelines set by the No Child Left Behind Act. Each person on staff continues to professionally renew themselves with classes and workshops.
Director
Jennifer Hodge is the Director of the Academy of St. Priscilla at Divine Savior. Before accepting the position as the Director of the Academy, Mrs.Hodge was the Assistant Principal at St. John Brebeuf in Niles. She also has taught Spanish within the Archdiocese for the past eight years. After attending Catholic school, including St. Priscilla, Mrs. Hodge continued her education at Dominican University, and recently obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching. Later, she attended DePaul University for her Administration certification.
Pre-School
Tanya Boyle is a teacher, a director, an actor, a wife and most importantly a mother. She has been teaching on and off for the last 12 years. Her theatrical background began at the age of 13 and has ripened into directing and writing musical programs for young children. She has worked as a preschool teacher for 2 years but has been a full time childcare provider on and off since she was in college.
Kindergarten-2nd Grade
Kristina Scapin began her journey in education at St. Theresa School and continued with Loyola Academy, where she earned the Sheriff of Cook County Service Award for doing over one hundred hours of service in one year. She studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Dayton, which included studying abroad in Florence. Her work experience ranges from a 1:1 aide in a second grade classroom, to three summers as a camp counselor for children with severe disabilities. Before joining the Academy, Ms. Scapin was a pre-school teacher for three years at Childtime in Evanston.
